Jason & the Argonauts

In Greek mythology, Pelias imprisoned his brother King Aeson of Iolcus and stole Aeson's throne. When Aeson's son Jason - denied his rightful place on the throne - came of age, he challenged Pelias. Pelias offered to return the throne should Jason return with the Golden Fleece, a task he believed beyond the young man's abilities.

Jason took up Pelias's challenge and gathered 50 heros - the Argonauts - to help him. Jason and the Argonauts built a ship, the Argo, and set sail in search of the Golden Fleece.

Jason and the Argonauts overcame many challenges, from fields of soldiers grown from dragons' teeth to a fire-breathing dragon, before recovering the Golden Fleece and returning to Iolcus.
